As the UK prepares to stop all combustion engine cars after 2030 and hybrids five years from now. This means that by 2035, you will only be able to buy pure electric vehicles (BEVs), so in just a decade, the country needs to have enough EV charging stations.

The UK government expects this will lead to the creation of up to 145,000 charging points per year.
As the UK prepares to stop all combustion engine cars after 2030 and hybrids five years from now. This means that by 2035, you will only be able to buy pure electric vehicles (BEVs), so in just a decade, the country needs to have enough EV charging stations.
One way to do this is to force all property developers to include charging stations in their new residential projects. The laws enforcing this will also apply to new supermarkets and office parks, as well as projects undergoing major renovations.
There are currently around 25,000 public charging stations in the UK, far fewer than the number needed to handle the impending influx of pure electric vehicles. The UK government believes that by enforcing this new law, as many as 145,000 new charging stations will be created each year.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is quoted by the BBC as saying he has announced sweeping changes to all forms of transport in the country over the next few years as they are replaced as much as possible by vehicles that produce no tailpipe emissions.
The number of BEVs sold in the UK crossed the 100,000 mark for the first time last year, but is expected to reach 260,000 by 2022. This means they will be more popular than diesel passenger cars, which have declined across Europe over the past five years.
